Adventures; that’s what we call them, really it’s just us walking around. Sometimes just around the neighborhood, sometimes we drive to a specific location and go for walk there (like when we went to Hogs Back park or Meech lake).
If you were to come on one of our “adventure” with us you’d probably think that we are weirdos. And we are. Sometimes, we talk non-stop, sometimes we are quiet, sometimes only one of us talks, our conversations are always really random, jumping from a subject to another with no real connection between the two but I find that’s when we have some of our best conversations. I guess it must be something to do with the fresh air, exercise and good company.
Lee and I both share an interest in photography so we enjoy taking our DSLRs or even just our phone cameras with us for these adventures. We stop at the most random moment to take pictures of the most random things.
It’s always fun to wonder what caught the other’s eye, watch them move in various positions trying capture whatever it may be with their camera before showing the other. There’s something really neat to being able to walk through the world with your own perspective, and every once in a while stopping and seeing things completely differently through someone else’s lens.
So the last night, just as the sun was setting, between two rain showers, we decided to head out and walk from our house to a nearby pond.
Luckily we made it there and back without getting caught by the rain. Although as you can see in the pictures, the sky was quite cloudy and got pretty dark on the way back.
Above are some of the shots we took. I love little adventures like these.
